A Church for the Whole Family
About Crosswind Church
Our Identity, Our Mission, Our Call
The name Crosswind reflects two powerful truths: the “Cross” of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the “Wind” of the Holy Spirit (John 3:8; Acts 2:2). These symbols embody who we are and how we move — grounded in the Gospel and led by the Spirit.
Our vision is clear
“Advancing the Kingdom of God by fulfilling Christ’s Great Commission through all generations.” Our mission flows from our heartbeat: “Love God fully. Love others unconditionally.” We believe the Church isn’t just a building — it’s the living body of Christ. That means we don’t just invite people in; we go out to meet them where they are. We're passionate about reaching individuals and families with the Gospel, and committed to discipling and equipping believers for the edifying of the body of Christ (Ephesians 4:12).

At Crosswind:
-
Everyone is encouraged to serve according to their spiritual gifts
-
The love of Jesus is evident in our Spirit-led worship, prayer, and ministries
-
Preaching and teaching are rooted in the timeless truth of God’s Word
-
Everything we do is centered on Christ and empowered by God’s grace
We are also a missional church, actively sending missionaries to unreached nations, partnering with the global body of Christ to share the Gospel to the ends of the earth. Crosswind is proudly intercultural, welcoming families and individuals from every race and background. We are committed to living out the foundational purposes of the Church: authentic community, lifestyle worship, spiritual growth, generosity, and outreach. In all we do, we strive to be: Intercultural. Intentional. Incarnational. Reaching our community with the transforming love of Jesus.
Together in Christ, Across Cultures
🌎 Our Intercultural Identity
Crosswind Church began as a Filipino fellowship in Denver, Colorado. Over time, the Lord has beautifully transformed us into a diverse and intercultural community of believers. While a multicultural group acknowledges and celebrates the different cultural backgrounds represented, an intercultural community goes a step further. It brings people of various backgrounds together around a shared identity and a common mission. Multicultural celebrates diversity. Intercultural celebrates unity in diversity — working together as one to fulfill God's purpose.
🤝 Our Affiliation
Crosswind Church is joyfully affiliated with Converge Rocky Mountain and Converge Worldwide — a global movement of churches dedicated to helping people meet, know, and follow Jesus by starting and strengthening churches around the world. Our lead pastor, Rev. Ramon Navarro, has served on the Board of Overseers for Converge Rocky Mountain since 2022.

Our Statement
Truth We Stand On
🕊 God
We believe in one eternal God, who exists in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — coequal and co-eternal. (Genesis 1:1, 26–27; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14)
✝ Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, born of a virgin, sinless in life, and sacrificial in death. He died on the cross for our sins, rose from the dead, ascended into heaven, and now reigns at the right hand of the Father as our High Priest and Advocate. (Isaiah 9:6; Matthew 1:22–23; John 1:1–5; Acts 1:9–11; Hebrews 4:14–15)
🔥 The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit makes us aware of our need for Christ, lives in every believer from the moment of salvation, and empowers us for holy living, spiritual growth, and service. We also believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit as a distinct experience that equips believers for life and ministry. (John 14:16–17; Acts 1:8; Galatians 5:25; 1 Corinthians 12:7)
📖 The Bible
We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God and our supreme authority in faith, doctrine, and life. (2 Timothy 3:16; Psalm 119:105; 2 Peter 1:20–21)
🙍♂️ Humanity
Every person is made in God's image and deeply loved, yet all have sinned and fall short of God's glory. This sin separates us from Him and leads to spiritual death. (Genesis 1:27; Romans 3:23; Isaiah 59:2)
💖 Salvation
Salvation is a gift of God’s grace, not earned by works. It is received by placing faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. (Ephesians 2:8–9; John 14:6; Romans 6:23)
🔄 Regeneration
When we turn from sin and trust in Jesus, we are made new through the Holy Spirit — a spiritual rebirth. (2 Corinthians 5:17)
⛪ The Church
The Church is the body of Christ made up of all believers. Christ is the head, and the local church is God’s chosen vehicle to reach the world. We value cooperation with other churches but remain independent and self-governing under Christ’s leadership. (Matthew 16:18; Colossians 1:18; Hebrews 10:25)
🏡 Christian Home
We believe parents are called to raise their children in the truth and love of God. The Church is called to partner with and support families in this mission. (Ephesians 6:4; Deuteronomy 6:6–9)
💧 Baptism & Communion
Jesus gave us two symbols to remember His work: Baptism (by immersion, after salvation, as a public declaration of faith) and the Lord’s Supper (to remember His death, resurrection, and return). These are meaningful acts of obedience—not requirements for salvation. (Matthew 28:19; 1 Corinthians 11:23–26)
🌍 The Great Commission
We are called to proclaim the Gospel in our community and to the nations. Evangelism happens where we are planted. Missions happen where Christ is not yet known. (Matthew 28:19–20)
🔚 The Last Things
We believe Jesus will return physically to establish His Kingdom. There will be a final judgment, a resurrection of the dead, eternal joy for believers, and eternal separation from God for the unrepentant. (Revelation 21:1–4; 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17; Matthew 25:31–46)

Our Staff
I was born in Manila, Philippines, and came to saving faith in Jesus Christ in 1981 during a small Bible study led by American missionaries. Even as a young believer, I sensed God's call on my life to serve in ministry. My faith grew through the missions and ministries of the local church, which deeply shaped my spiritual journey. During my college years, I became active in Campus Crusade for Christ and their Leadership Training Institute. I’ve always had a deep love for studying God’s Word, and in 1985, I was honored to win the Assemblies of God National Bible Quiz held in Cebu City. I went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of the Philippines in Diliman, Quezon City. After passing the board exam in 1989 and becoming a licensed Civil Engineer, I began working in the software industry, which led to a career in Information Technology—and also led me to my wife, Guia. In 1993, I accepted a job in New Jersey as an IT professional, where Guia and I began our life together and raised our family for 13 wonderful years. We moved to Colorado in 2006. Then, after a near-death experience in 2008, I could no longer ignore God’s call on my life. I began leading Bible studies, eventually serving the local church as a lay minister. I was ordained in 2013, and for three years, I served as CrossWind’s executive pastor while also working full-time in the corporate world. In January 2017, I was installed as the lead pastor. In 2020, I took a leap of faith and left my position as Vice President at Bank of America Merrill Lynch to serve the Lord full-time. My theological training is through Southeast Asia Theological Schools (SEATS), where I earned both my Master of Ministry (M.Min.) and Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) degrees. Guia and I have been married for over 25 years and have two amazing sons, Josiah Emmanuel and Jeremiah Daniel. As a family, we are deeply blessed to serve together at CrossWind Church.

Lead Pastor
I have been a member of Crosswind Community Church since 2009 and have witnessed God's faithfulness as the church grew from meeting at Jewell Elementary School to its current home on Mississippi Avenue in Aurora. After serving on the Worship Team, I became the Church Administrator in the early 2010s and have faithfully served in that role ever since. I consider it a privilege and joy to support the ministry of Crosswind Community Church by serving her pastor, church family, and, above all, the Lord Jesus Christ. I've been married to my husband, Ken, for 25 years. I am a mother of two sons, Ken's stepsons, and the proud grandmother of an inquisitive six-year-old grandson.

Hi, I’m Shane, a husband, stepdad, tech guy, and follower of Jesus. I’ve worked in IT for over 25 years, specializing in technical support and helping people make sense of complex problems. I’m also deeply involved in ministry at Crosswind Church in Aurora, Colorado, where I serve as the social media consultant and help lead digital strategy, content creation, and outreach efforts. Outside of church and tech, I’m a passionate creative at heart. I love using media, design, and storytelling to make an impact — both in ministry and beyond. I also enjoy traveling and going on outdoor adventures with my family, finding joy in both service and shared experiences. I believe every gift God has given me is meant to be used for His glory. I’m blessed to be married to the love of my life, Debby, and together we’re raising an amazing son, Justin. Our journey has been marked by grace, second chances, and countless answered prayers — and we know the best is still ahead.

Our COVID Response
As the body of Christ, we are to fulfill the mandate of the Great Commission even in the middle of calamities like the Coronavirus pandemic of 2020. The word of God says "Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season"(2 Timothy 4:2a). Moreover, "God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind" (2 Timothy 1:7). Our authority on faith and practice is the Word of God and we ask the Lord's wisdom in responding to a crisis. We are also exhorted from the Bible to "walk circumspectly (carefully, precisely), not as fools, but as wise, redeeming the time because the days are evil"(Ephesians 5:15-16). To walk circumspectly, we need to understand the times that we live in and stand against efforts by the global elite to push their worldly narrative. We are well aware that "perilous times will come" (2 Timothy 3:1) and persecution of the church will intensify in these evil days. Therefore, while we will be responsible for loving, serving and praying for our community in times of calamity, we choose to obey God's word if mandated to comply with rules that go against it. We will "not forsake the assembling of ourselves together as is the manner of some" (Hebrews 10:25) and strongly ensure that "the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ is not chained" (2 Timothy 2:9b).
